The Process
Step 1. The family contacts Nurture And Nature to set up a tour from October through December of the year before they are planning for their child to start school. Tours are given at 10:30am and the child is asked to attend the tour with the family. We do not give tours for children who will not start school the following fall. After the tour, the family receives a Nurture And Nature Application Packet which contains the Parent Handbook, other program information and state-required forms.
Step 2. If the family is interested in applying for a spot, the family completes the application packet and submits the completed packet from February 1st - February 16th. for August 2010 Enrollment.
Step 3. The applications are reviewed in February, and families are notified of Enrollment Status in early March. If your child is accepted, the $100 Registration Fee is due at that time. If your child is not accepted for Enrollment in 20010, he or she is placed on a waiting list in the event that a spot becomes available. If no spot becomes available, the process can be repeated for Fall 2011 Enrollment.
Enrollment is decided on a year to year basis. Waitlists are not carried over to the following school year. Enrollment is based upon the following factors: returning students, a completed application packet turned in on time, siblings of current students, siblings of alumni, schedules and at the discretion of Nurture And Nature staff.
Children must be toilet-trained and 3 years old by August 1st. of the Enrollment Year.
Our school year starts in the beginning of August and finishes at the end of June. Nurture And Nature is closed the month of July.
